About
Born in 1988, and originally from Normandy, Clémentine Belhomme has been passionate about silver photography since she was very young. Fascinated by the 8th art, visual culture as a legacy, she spontaneously and instinctively begins by photographing her environment and staging her loved ones. After studying art and photography in Paris, she trained through many internships where she learned the techniques of the laboratory and studio. It is quite natural that she then oriented herself towards the fashion world, which offers her unlimited aesthetic perspectives and allows her to establish professional connections. His photographic approach is distinguished by this dreamlike atmosphere, a form of disturbing strangeness sometimes, mixing sweetness and flamboyance. She is interested in the mechanics of hybridization. The photographer redraws the contours, she opens us the doors of a small theatre sometimes fragmented, a transitory world, where illusion, fiction, reality, masculine, feminine, vegetable, animal would coexist without differentiation. She works with textures, materials, blurring and likes to refer to the history of art. By seeking to explore new ways of sublimating the image, she tries to provoke emotions by mixing her daydreams and intuitions with an ever more singular stylism. His photographs could take us to another place, imaginary and chimerical worlds, always half-tinted. His view is inspired by literature, painting, cinema and surrealism, perceiving the photographic medium as a means of expression and experimentation.
Clémentine Belhomme now lives in Paris, and works as a partner for many magazines, major fashion and luxury brands. For the past 10 years, she has been swinging between photographic commissions and her creative projects.
